A Short History of DJ'ing

Martin Block was the first person formally described as a "disc jockey." The term was coined in 1935.

Even though Block was from L.A., his career started in Tijuana, Mexico. He moved to New York and quickly began working in radio as an advertisement announcer. Combining his love for music, some tidbits about the world of music, he became famous for The World's Largest Make Believe Ballroom.

Playlist of Music Mixes by DJs

Here are some curated mixes by DJs. Just hit "play" and let that be the soundtrack to your day. Shake it as you clean, drum the beat on the steering wheel as you drive and just.... 😆 drown out the world for a couple of hours.
